BECOMING A MEMBER
The Celebration Seventh-Day Adventist Church is a community of faith in which all are welcomed to participate in its worship services and its fellowship. Some choose to take a further step of commitment and personal involvement in the ministries of the church by becoming an active member. If you are looking for a church home, or perhaps you are new to our community, we would love to welcome you into the membership of the Celebration Church family.
There are three different ways you can become a member of the Celebration SDA Church:
Baptism
The Seventh-day Adventist Church believes and practices baptism by immersion. For those who are beginning their walk with Jesus for the first time, or making a renewed commitment, baptism is a symbol of that new life in Christ and entrance into His church (Acts 2:38-47closeActs 2:38-47 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 40 And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” 41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. (ESV) ).
If you have never been baptized by immersion and would like to take that step, just call the church office and one of the secretaries will direct you to a pastor who will meet with you and help you prepare for this important event.
Profession of Faith
If you have already been baptized by immersion in another Christian denomination you may become a member of the Celebration SDA Church by a simple declaration of your personal faith in Jesus Christ, and your desire to become an active member of the Celebration Church of Seventh-day Adventists.
You may begin that process by calling the church office and asking for our Pastors. They will help you fill out a church membership application and set up an appointment with one of the pastors.
Transfer of Membership
If you hold membership in the Adventist Church in another location and want to establish your membership at the Celebration SDA Church, you may do so by transferring your membership.
